Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD, FCCM, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University. He is a distinguished anesthesiologist and intensivist with subspecialty certifications in Critical Care Medicine and Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. Dr. Kumar has extensive expertise in simulation-based medical education and critical care, serving as the Program Director for the Anesthesia/Emergency Medicine Critical Care Fellowship and Medical Director of the Respiratory Therapy Program.

With a robust academic and clinical background, Dr. Kumar completed his medical education at Bangalore Medical College, followed by advanced training in the UK and the US, including a critical care fellowship at Augusta University. His leadership roles include directing simulation programs, organizing international workshops, and contributing to educational and curriculum committees.

An accomplished researcher and educator, Dr. Kumar has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presented abstracts at prestigious conferences globally. His accolades include the Exemplary Teaching Award, Mentorship Excellence Award, and leadership in global critical care initiatives. Dr. Kumar is also a passionate advocate for medical outreach and simulation training for underserved populations.

Dr. Chandni Ravi

Dr. Chandni Ravi, MBBS, is a seasoned medical professional specializing in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. She is currently affiliated with the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, where she contributes to critical care education and research. Dr. Ravi completed her fellowship in Critical Care Anesthesiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, after a robust residency training spanning Emergency Medicine at Rutgers University and General Surgery at Brown University and St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

An active researcher, Dr. Ravi has numerous publications in reputable journals and has presented her work at prestigious conferences. Her accolades include the Lieberman Grant for research excellence and the Golden Apple Teaching Award nomination. Dr. Ravi is board-certified in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine and holds additional certifications in echocardiography and life support. She is an active member of professional organizations like the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Ravi volunteers at significant events like the Augusta Masters Golf Tournament and has served on various medical and cultural committees.

Dr. Shaynna Mann

Dr. Shaynna M. Mann, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Augusta University, Georgia, specializing in critical care medicine. She completed her Critical Care Fellowship at Washington University, St. Louis, and Emergency Medicine Residency at John Peter Smith Health Network, Texas.

Dr. Mann is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Anesthesia Critical Care and has extensive experience in academic and clinical settings, including ICU curriculum development and quality improvement projects. She has published research on sepsis and trauma care and has received multiple awards, including the North Dakota District Medical Society Award.

She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and other leading professional organizations.

Dr. Deborah Huang

Dr. Deborah Huang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University. A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, she completed her Pediatric Residency at Levine Children’s Hospital/Carolinas Medical Center and a Pediatric Emergency Fellowship at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children/Orlando Health.

Dr. Huang has served as a Pediatric Emergency Physician at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University before returning to Augusta University. She further specialized in Clinical Ultrasound through a fellowship at Augusta University, where she now serves as Assistant Program Director for the Clinical Ultrasound Fellowship Program.

Dr. Huang is actively involved in medical education as a Career Advisor and has dedicated her career to advancing ultrasound education, quality improvement, and mentoring future healthcare professionals.

Dr. Nicola Zetola

Dr. Nicola Mario Zetola, MD, MPH is a highly accomplished physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine. He is currently the Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Augusta University, Georgia.

Dr. Zetola earned his MD from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Peru, and his MPH from the University of California, Berkeley. He has held significant academic and clinical positions in the United States and Botswana, with a focus on infectious diseases, tuberculosis, and global health.

He has been recognized with several awards, including the Baker Award from Johns Hopkins University and the Global Equity Award from the CDC. His advocacy work includes STD prevention campaigns and founding Peru’s first community center for men who have sex with men.

Dr. Zetola has contributed extensively to research, with numerous publications in infectious diseases, cervical cancer, and public health in resource-limited settings.
